Infyos and SolarPower Europe have signed a new knowledge partnership agreement to support the Battery Storage Europe Platform, an initiative powered by SolarPower Europe to advance the business case and regulatory framework for battery storage across the European Union.
The partnership will bring Infyos’ supply chain risk intelligence and expertise into the work of the Battery Storage Europe Platform, strengthening industry understanding of ESG performance, supply chain transparency, traceability, regulatory developments and related issues across the renewable energy sector.
As Europe works to rapidly scale solar and battery storage, resilient and transparent supply chains are becoming increasingly important to project bankability, regulatory readiness and long-term competitiveness. Through the agreement, Infyos may contribute insights and participate in discussions, working groups and activities relevant to the battery storage sector, subject to its capacity and internal resourcing.
Sarah Montgomery, CEO and Co-founder of Infyos, said: “We’re delighted to join SolarPower Europe as a Knowledge Partner. As Europe scales up solar and battery storage to meet its energy and climate goals, supply chain traceability, ESG performance and regulatory readiness are becoming central to bankability and competitiveness. We look forward to contributing Infyos‘ data and expertise to support the industry in building more resilient and secure supply chains.”
Walburga Hemetsberger, CEO of SolarPower Europe, said: “Solar and storage are the perfect pair for Europe’s clean energy future. As the battery storage sector scales, strong supply chain insight will be essential to building resilient, sustainable and competitive projects. Infyos’ expertise as a knowledge partner to the Battery Storage Europe Platform will strengthen our work and support the development of the right policy framework for both sectors to continue growing.”
The new partnership will kick off with a joint webinar for members of the Battery Storage Europe Platform on the upcoming EU Battery Regulation. In this members’ webinar, Infyos CEO Sarah Montgomery will explain what the Regulation means in practice for BESS projects, which obligations are relevant to BESS, what information members should already be collecting from suppliers, and how companies can prepare for upcoming implementation deadlines.
